Referral program

Make $1,000 introducing us to a business you already know.

Everybody wins: you get $1,000, they get software built for how their crews actually work, and we get a customer. All you do is make the introduction.

Refer a business

Takes a minute. Five fields, nothing sensitive.

The team behind ToolBerry builds and maintains field-service systems for

Who we're looking for

You probably already know two or three of them.

Service businesses that send people out to job sites. If a name came to mind while reading the headline, that is the person. If not, start here:

  • People who work on your property: landscaper, cleaner, plumber, electrician
  • Colleagues or friends who run crews in the field
  • Clients of yours who send people out to jobs

5 to 50 people in the field

Ten or more crews is the sweet spot, they feel per-user pricing the hardest. Smaller outfits are still welcome, we like helping them grow.

A trade that runs on job sites

Landscaping, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, pool service, pest control, handyman, pressure washing, window cleaning.

San Diego is a bonus, not a rule

Local means we can show up in person. We onboard remotely too, so refer people anywhere in the US.

Someone who would take your call

A warm introduction from you is worth more than any ad we could run. That is the whole reason this program exists.

How it works

Four steps, and you only do the first one.

1

You introduce us

Fill in the form below, or just forward our details. A name and a phone number is enough to start.

2

We take it from there

We get in touch with them and keep you posted on how it goes. You are not chasing anyone.

3

They sign and pay

If they become a pilot partner, that is a close. Signed agreement plus first payment collected.

4

You get paid

$1,000, half when their payment lands and half ninety days later.

The actual terms, in plain English.

  • Paid on close, and only on close. A close means a signed pilot agreement and the first payment collected. Not a lead, not an intro, not a demo, however well it went.
  • Half on payment, half at day 91. You get 50% once their money reaches us and the other 50% ninety days later, after their 90-day guarantee window closes.

What they get

They get a genuinely good deal out of this too.

We are selecting ten pilot partners, and the people you introduce go in as founding partners rather than as another account.

50%+ off year one

Pilot-partner pricing for their entire first year.

Free onboarding and training

We set them up and train their crew personally, office and field, at no cost.

Preferential support

They talk to the people who build ToolBerry, not a ticket queue.

A featured case study

Their business featured on our site and in our marketing.

A say in the roadmap

A direct line to the founders. What the pilot group needs is what we build next.

A 90-day guarantee

Not happy in the first ninety days? Full refund, and we cover moving their data elsewhere.

Refer a business

Who should we be talking to?

Five fields, and nothing sensitive. We will confirm by email straight away and keep you posted from there.

Crew size (optional)

We will only contact you about this referral. No marketing, no list.

Before you ask

Quick questions.

What exactly counts as a close?
A signed pilot agreement and the first payment collected. An introduction, a demo or a keen conversation does not count, however promising it looks. We would rather say that plainly now than explain it to you later.
When do I actually get paid?
Half of the $1,000 once their payment reaches us, and the other half at day ninety-one. The split exists because we offer them a 90-day guarantee, so the deal is not truly done until that window closes.
What if they ask for a refund?
Then the bounty is clawed back in full. If you have already been paid the first half, we will talk to you about it rather than send a surprise invoice. This is why we pay in two parts.
What if someone else already referred them, or you are already talking to them?
Whoever tells us first gets credit. If the business is already in our pipeline when your referral lands, there is no bounty, and we will tell you rather than leave you wondering.
Do I have to do anything after the introduction?
No. Once you have pointed us at each other, we run the conversation. You are welcome to stay in the loop, and we will keep you posted either way.
How many people can I refer?
As many as genuinely fit. The bounty is per business that closes, not once per person. Please do not spray us with names, a bad referral wastes their time and costs you credibility with someone you know.
