Your data lives on your device, so setting up a backup early matters. Two ways:
- Connect your own Dropbox: Settings > Advanced > Storage, then tap Connect on the Dropbox card. Your work backs up automatically whenever you're online.
- Download a backup file you keep yourself: Settings > Advanced > Database > Download Backup. This file is an unencrypted database; only Dropbox backups can be encrypted, and only if you turned that on at setup.
With a backup, you can restore everything on a new phone. Without one, anything only on a lost or reset device is gone, so don't skip this.
