ToolBerry vs Zoho FSM

Zoho FSM plugs into the Zoho office suite. ToolBerry is a free app built for the truck, with no monthly cap and full offline.

No account and no credit card. Works offline.

Quick verdict

Zoho FSM is a good choice if you already run Zoho CRM, Zoho Books or Zoho Desk: it connects to them, has a real dispatch console, and its free plan allows up to 20 users. The catch is the cap, 30 appointments and 30 invoices a month, and an app that is mostly read-only with no signal. ToolBerry is free with no limit on jobs or invoices, starts with no signup, and lets you create and edit everything offline. If you live in Zoho, look at Zoho FSM. If you want a free app for the field with no monthly count, pick ToolBerry.

Why trades choose ToolBerry over Zoho FSM

  • No monthly cap on the free app

Zoho FSM Free stops at 30 appointments and 30 invoices a month, and paid plans rise with how many appointments you book. A weekly route of eight customers passes that in a month. The ToolBerry app has no limit on jobs, customers, quotes or invoices.

  • Real offline, not read-only

Zoho's help center says its app shows appointments read-only offline, keeps only the latest 200 on the phone, and cannot check in, change a status or make an invoice without a connection. ToolBerry keeps the whole database on the device, so you create, edit, complete and invoice jobs with no signal.

  • Start in seconds, no account

Zoho FSM starts with a Zoho account and setup. ToolBerry starts when you open it: no account, no card, no email. Pick your trade and you get job types, checklists and roles made for it.

Where Zoho FSM is strong

Credit where it is due. Zoho FSM is part of a large business suite. It connects to Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk, Bigin and Zoho's finance apps, and has a dispatch console with Gantt, grid and calendar views and live location on a map. It does multi-currency invoices with country-specific taxes, has more than 40 reports, and its free plan allows up to 20 users. The mobile app is available in 26 languages. If your office already runs on Zoho, Zoho FSM fits in naturally.

Pricing, plainly

ToolBerry

The ToolBerry app is free. No card, no trial clock, no monthly cap and no per-user fees, and it is the full app rather than a trial. It runs on your own device, and a small crew can share it through the owner's own Dropbox. ToolBerry Pro is the optional paid upgrade that puts a crew on one cloud workspace with real-time sync, priced per company rather than per seat.

Zoho FSM

Zoho FSM prices by appointments per month, not per user. Free covers 30 appointments and 30 invoices a month for up to 20 users, and you can stay on it after the trial. Each paid plan includes 60 appointments and 60 invoices a month: Standard $30/mo or $300/yr, Professional $45/mo or $420/yr, Premium $55/mo or $480/yr. The price rises with volume, for example $50, $75 or $90 a month for 100 appointments. Extra storage is $15/mo per 25 GB (Zoho FSM pricing help article, checked November 2026). There is a 15-day free trial with no card (zoho.com/fsm/pricing, checked November 2026).

Prices can change, so check their site for the current numbers.

Switching from Zoho FSM to ToolBerry

Switching is the easy kind. Download ToolBerry and run your next few jobs in it while Zoho FSM keeps running. Bring your customers in from a spreadsheet with the free CSV import, or add them as you go. Your data lives on your device and you can export it anytime, so you are never locked in.
