No catch, just architecture
Why free is free. And why Pro costs money.
Free is free because it runs on your device.
The free app keeps everything in a real database on your phone — no signup, no backend, no servers on our end. It costs us almost nothing to run, so it's free, forever. No catch, no trial clock, no bait.
Pro is paid because teams need servers.
Syncing your crew in real time, storing unlimited photos, keeping audit logs — that runs on infrastructure we pay for every month. You're paying for the servers, not for permission to use your own data.
The plain cost logic
We'd rather tell you exactly why we charge than dress it up. If a feature costs us nothing, it's free. If it runs on our servers, it's part of Pro. That line won't move.
Same app, either way
Pro doesn't replace the free app — it adds a team backend underneath it. Your phone still works offline first; you don't rip anything out to upgrade, and nothing you have today gets taken away.
So which should you use?
Stay Free if you're solo or your whole operation fits comfortably on one flow. Honestly — don't pay us.
Go Pro when the team is the bottleneck: multiple crews, an office that needs to see the field, accountability questions you can't answer.
