ToolBerry Pro vs WEX FSM

WEX FSM, formerly Payzer, is field service software owned by WEX, a payments company, and it is very good at getting contractors paid. ToolBerry Pro is built the other way around, from the field work outward, and it is different in three places a growing shop feels: one price for the whole company, card payments on a Stripe account that belongs to you, in pilot now, and no add-ons to price separately.

Quick verdict

If consumer financing and payment options are what you are buying, WEX FSM is the stronger product and we would rather you knew that up front. The places to check are the price and who holds your payments. Scheduling and dispatch live in Enterprise and Unlimited, both quote only, unlimited users is its own top plan, and their FAQ says the QuickBooks, GPS and pricebook integrations carry an additional fee. Card rates are not published, and processing runs through Payzer, a registered ISO of Wells Fargo. ToolBerry Pro is one price per company, and card payments, in pilot with Pro customers now, go through your own Stripe account.

The short version

Three differences a feature table can't show

Priced per business, not per seat

One price covers your whole crew. Hiring tech number 11 changes your schedule, not your software bill. Service Fusion is the one vendor here that does the same, and their page says so.

Offline everywhere, not just on the phone

Several of these products have real offline in their mobile app, and some of them are good at it. Where ToolBerry differs is the office: we run the same local database on desktop too, so a dropped connection at the shop is as harmless as a basement with no bars.

A free app underneath, not a trial clock

Jobber and Housecall Pro run 14 day trials, Workiz runs a 7 day one, and FieldEdge, Service Fusion, ServiceTitan and LMN all start with a demo or a quote. WEX FSM has a free plan, but it is payments only and needs over $25,000 a month in card or financing volume. None of them gives you the whole app free. The free ToolBerry app is a different thing: the whole app, for one person on their own device, with no clock running. Pro is the layer you add when the shared workspace is worth paying for.

Where ToolBerry Pro is the better fit

Hiring stops being a software decision

WEX FSM keeps unlimited users for its top plan, Unlimited, and both Unlimited and Enterprise are quote only. So how many people you can put on the app is part of the plan you buy. ToolBerry Pro is one price for the business. The eleventh hire changes your schedule and nothing else.

Your payments, your account

With WEX FSM, payments run through Payzer, their own processing company, and card rates are not on the pricing page. ToolBerry Pro connects to a Stripe account that belongs to your business, and card payments are in pilot with Pro customers now. You pay Stripe's published rates, the money lands in your account, and if you ever leave us, your payment setup stays with you.

No add-on math

WEX FSM's pricing FAQ says its QuickBooks, Azuga GPS, Profit Rhino, Pricebook Digital and Advanced Reporting integrations carry an additional fee, on top of a plan price you only get from a demo. ToolBerry Pro has no add-on price list. One number for the company, and that is the bill.

Where WEX FSM is stronger

Credit where it is due, and on payments this is a real list. WEX FSM puts card processing, ACH, mobile check deposit, card readers and tap to pay in one place, and consumer financing from several lenders sits right inside the proposal, with dealer fees they say start at 0.5%. Maintenance plans can run on recurring payments, with automated service reminders, and GPS fleet tracking is available through Azuga. It is backed by WEX, a large payments company, and says more than 35,000 contractors use it. If financed replacements are most of your revenue, WEX FSM is built for that and you should look at it seriously.

Schedule a demo

Choose ToolBerry Pro if…

  • You are hiring, and you do not want the user count to decide your plan.
  • You want card payments on your own Stripe account.
  • You want one price, with no add-ons to add up.
  • Your office and your crew work in more than one language.

Choose WEX FSM if…

  • Consumer financing closes most of your big jobs.
  • You want payments, financing and fleet cards from one company.
  • You need GPS fleet tracking and electronic purchase orders today.

Whichever way you go: your crew already knows ToolBerry if they've used the free app, going Pro is a login, not a migration. And the pilot guarantee covers your exit costs if we're wrong for you.

Pricing, plainly

ToolBerry Pro

ToolBerry Pro is priced per business, not per seat. Adding crew never raises the bill. The number depends on your size and needs, and we will send you a straight answer within one business day. There is no setup fee, and your term is written in your order form before you sign, so nothing renews at a price you have not seen. Underneath it, the free ToolBerry app stays free for anyone who does not need the team features.

WEX FSM

WEX FSM publishes one price. Payment Options is free with over $25,000 a month in card or financing volume, and $69 a month below that, and it covers payments only. Enterprise, which adds scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, job costing, pricebooks, proposals and maintenance plans, and Unlimited, which adds unlimited users, have no published price, and every plan on the page, the free one included, starts with Get a demo. There are no setup fees. Their FAQ says the QuickBooks, Azuga GPS, Profit Rhino, Pricebook Digital and Advanced Reporting integrations carry an additional fee, although Enterprise lists QuickBooks sync as part of the plan. Card processing rates are not published (wexfsm.com/pricing, read September 2026).

Prices change. Check their pricing page for the current numbers before you decide.

Switching from WEX FSM

Do not switch on a feature table. Keep WEX FSM running and put ToolBerry on one crew for a few weeks, on your real jobs, and compare what actually happens. If you finance a lot of your jobs, weigh that honestly, because financing is where they are ahead. If your people have used the free ToolBerry app, going Pro is a login rather than a migration.
